1995 taurus 3.0 loss of spark

while driving car died,no spark no power to coil,computer had codes 211(pip) and code 212 short to ground in spout circuit loss of spark,.ign.module and coil were taken down to parts store and tested good.Replaced distributor including pickup coil,ign.module.car ran for two blocks and died,back to same problem no spark.found and fixed wiring short went ahead and replaced computer.again car started and ran for short distance,and died.please help,all out of ideas!!

Have the CCRM checked. It is above the radiator on the drivers side under the little plastic cover.

Is that the black box(with the wire plug bundle) above the radiator near the hood release?BTW thanks for the reply

not sure how to check the ccrm except use a replacement,however I did notice that the egr pressure sensor had come lose from its mounting,touched up against exhaust (melted a hole)and shorted out

That is a good possibility. If the sensor is shorted to ground, the PCM voltage also goes to ground.

I actually paid a mechanic(ASE Ha!) to tell me it was this or that,after replacing the distributor,pickup coil,ign.module,AND a new computer.turns out it was a shorted egr pressure sensor,it showed some physical damage (slight crack) went ahead and disconnected it,car ran great!! Thanks for all the help!
