Wiper

I have 2004 Silverado 2500 4x4 CC. Today after removing the snow and ice off my windshield and breaking the wipers free, the passenger side wiper happened to get caught on a small piece of ice and stopped moving. After removing the one nut that holds the wiper assembly on I noticed that shafter the wiper slip onto was tapered and it slid into a aluminium bughin in the wiper.

Am I correct in assuming the tapered fit and the one nut is all that keep the wiper fixed? Does not seem like enough as I notice the aluminium bushing in the wiper was worn due to motor turning and not the wiper. I do not think the nut was on tight enough which caused the problem. I reassembled it and tightened the nut and everything works again.

Can the bushing in the wiper arm be replaced or do I have to purchase a new wiper arm? Due to the wear in the bushing, I do not think just tightening the nut is going to keep it from slipping again in the long term.

Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
