4L60E Tranny

For the transmission guru's out there,
What is the difference on this GM tranny
between 2wd and 4x4 with the transfer case
hook up? Can you just remove the tail housing
and bolt the transfer case to it? Does it require
a different output shaft?

Thanks

Thanks,
After I started this thread I saw a listing on Ebay
for a 4x4 output shaft, I didn't know it's at the
bottom of the barrel. Looks like I learn auto trans
repair.
