How would it handle in -40 C, ice & snow, does it have to be put away for the winter?

yes all 240sx are rwd

overall they handle very nicely, i think that you would have to take some precaution due to snow as it could slip, many don't have stock LSD's, the ones with HICAS handle better in higher speeds[would also have the lsd]

i think that you could drive in during winter but the salts may cause rust care must be taken to prevent it

Re: 240sx?

If you can find someone to rust proof your cars undercarriage then its an insane handling car up hill in the snow, I live in pittsburgh and know from first hand experience how well these bad boys can handle, and they are really safe...not that ive crashed mine though...

really? i've had a few incidents where i had to pull back, turn around, and take a different route b/c i couldn't get up a hill after a few light snow storms. Dunno.. i have stock suspension too... weird. Maybe i needed more speed to start with but sometimes that's not possible depending on the road.

i usually have my undercarriage washed every week too... that keeps the salt off. (wish i had a covered garage and a beater to use during the winter.. but i don't have that kind of luxury)

It's hard enough to find a rust free 240 in Canada, don't start wasting them by driving them in the winter!

Re: 240sx?

Yeah it does not take much - too much salt on the road and it will rust and its going to cost fixing them. But if you guys are going to do it make sure rust proof twice a year and make sure the rear tires are in good conditions otherwise youll you will have difficulty with it. My experience its that after many years driving them - you definitely need studded rear tires. Weight in the trunk helps. But again if you can afford it dont take the 240sx out in the winter it will just get rusted
