Shake rattle and Groan

Tried and Tired

Have a 2.4 L 1997 Chevy Cav
Last 2 years and as many mechanics later, we have a car which is noisy
The engine sounds like a trucks Engine(load and harsh)
It is shaking(I think it will fall off one day)
It is barely giving 230 miles on a full tank
Had these problems for almost 2 years and no engine lights etc have come on
Taken it to many mechanics and paid an arm and a leg and still they can figure it out.

Only 56000 Miles on it and problem started around 40000 miles

Any advice short of going to the dealer and paying more to get the problem diagnosed than the car is worth
