turbo or not

i was at lunch the other day, and my friends got into an argument about BOV's. One of my friends says that you have to have turbo to have one. The other says you can have one no matter what(just hook it up to wheatever it hooks up to i guess.). I think you must have f/i but im not sure. Can anyone tell me the answer jst so i can get some closure on the subject thatnks

Re: turbo or not

Yes, you can have a BOV on a naturally aspirated car. It would do nothing and sit there open the entire time, but physically you could have a BOV on a N/A car. If you friend thinks it'll make a noise like when you let off the throttle in a turbo car, go hit him.
