Throttle Body Cleaning...
Well I was gonna take advantage of the long weekend and clean my tb but didn't order a gasket from Infiniti. I have looked everywhere trying to find out if I can just get some gasket material and make one or would this be bad? If I do go this route which size would I need? Does anyone have any advice? Also any more suggestions regarding cleaning your TB and replacing fuel filter. Any problems I might encounter? I have already read eveything on se-r.net by the way. Thanks for any help in advance!

do you need a gasket?
I haven't done it on my G20 yet but where is the gasket that needs to be replaced?
It should be 1. remove the clamp screw 2. Move stuff away from the opening 3. grap toothbrush and clean with tb cleaner 4. put back together no? I have done this on other cars and never needed a gasket... when it comes to cleaning the tb, I would use a toothbrush and have a lint free cloth to wipe the sludge that will build up, try to also clean the plate as well...

I think that will work but I wanted to take the TB completely off to clean it and the FSM says replace the gasket. I haven't gotten around to it yet. though.
