Re: Camaro is alive!

LOL i dont think this car is leaving my possession for a long long time...I've had several offers in the past for more than i have in it and i've turned them down...Kinda has sentimental value since it was my first car (got it when i turned 13). All the cash in this car put together (including purchase price, first, second and now this driveline, paint, interior etc..) it has maybe 15 grand...

It is more fun to drive than it has ever been and it's only going to get better!

Re: Camaro is alive!

Yes, the second vid is a walkaround and shows the engine setup. It is a stock LT1 from a 94 Z28 M6 that i bought for 1300 bucks. It's kinda high mileage but by the time it needs another motor i should have a 396 built (crosses fingers). The only mods are headers, exhaust, removal of emissions stuff, there will be a nice air intake soon hopefully, no cats, etc...

I see there being a problem with traction on these radial TA's (255/60/15s). After that "test" i tried to launch it and it felt like it bogged but looking behind me i see two faint black marks. So i stopped and tried again same feeling so i got in it a little more and the tires just started screaming.

Re: Camaro is alive!

Too cool, I love the first gens, especially the 69s. I am actually still bugging pops to let me take his 67 RS/SS out for a spin around the block...

Its tough having a V6 though, my car sounds pretty cool and can get up to about 40 or 50 pretty fast but not that fast... but whenever I see a Z28, ws6, TransAm, or especially a SS I just about cause an accident because I cant stop staring... not really but you guys get the idea

Re: Camaro is alive!

Paint job was a cheapie and at the time it was painted i didn't like the factory stripes (i thought they needed to be full stripes not stop at front and not go over roof etc). I have since had a change in ways. There is a new paint scheme in the works but it's not being revealed as my last idea was stolen...

Re: Camaro is alive!

Oh and the 396 that will be going in will be a LT1 based stroker! 375hp is a joke compared to what i'm shooting for...I'm thinking more along the lines of 500+
