wheel width

If you're going to stick with the 265 tires you might want to think about a 8" wheel. The tire is actually about 10 1/2" across the sidewalls. The rule of thumb I grew up with was tires 2" wider than wheels. If you go with 10's though, you need to check your local laws about how far they can extend out past the fenders, I know down here in Da Bayous, we're only supposed to go 1" wider than the fenders, or we have to put flares on em. I just hung a set of 8" Eagle alloys on my 04, and I'm pretty much at the limit now, because most of the extra width went out. I still have the stock 235's on it, but will go to a 245 or 255 width when these wear out. I've also only had mine a month, and the silly things are already developing "spots" in the polish. So you might want to think about the extra upkeep for a polished rim. You might want to see if they have the set you're looking for on Ebay too. Having bought mine, and paying an additional $40 to mount them, I found an identical set on Ebay for $100 less total than what I paid locally. As to which I like better, The Eagles you picked look great to me, but then I am "old hat", and own an old K5 too! Whew, pretty long winded for my first post! LOL

American Racing. I have a set something similar to these on my truck and I am pleased as hell!

Re: Everyones opinion on these rims

I bet a set of Helo Black Maxx in a 17" or 18" rim would look good on that black body. And yes that is what is on mine and I would love to see them on a black truck with that chrome lip. Just my If you email me I'll send a picture of what mine look like.

Hey! I happen to think those look better than the American Racing ones.

At least they're not spinners!

I prefer the Eagle series 187. I love the "revolver cylinder" type wheels.

Re: Everyones opinion on these rims

Anything not clearcoted/powdercoated/painted/or teflon coated won't last 2 days up here. The deicer fluid used on the roads eats them alive, (though probably not a concern where your at). I'm not a big fan on of American Racing, I've never been able to balance a single set of theirs yet. Just won't stay balanced. I would look at Pro Comp's if I were you. Better construction, 3 year finish warranty, and decent price.

Re: Everyones opinion on these rims

between these two, im kinda leaning towards the eagles. i like that style and they are $68 cheaper each rim than the american racing ones.

Moose is loose -- i live in canada and get enough of snow and road salt here in the winter. i'd most likely be taking them for the winter or they'd be eaten up after one winter.

That is correct.

Personally from my experiences, Eagles are made very cheaply. American Racing is a good brand, that has been around a long time. So I would go with them.

But personally speaking, I'm not a fan of either style of wheels. Just different tastes in looks and styles.

Re: Everyones opinion on these rims

do you think a 16x10 would look kinda stupid sticking out that extra 2 inches?....or a little more "beefier"
