Recently MY 1992 explorer has had problems starting. When it wouldnt start in the past I would just disconnect and reconnect the wires to the starter solenoid and it would start up fime, then a week or a month later the same problem again. Now it wont start at all and I had a new starter and solenoid installed as well as a new battery....nothing unless the started is jumped directly. What could be causing this??? Now it just clicks pretty loudly when I turn the key. The mech. i took it too said the starter engages but it wont turn over...can anyone help?

Re: Still Wont Start..after all the repairs???
seems to me that "starting" is the biggest problem with explorers

Re: Still Wont Start..after all the repairs???
you might want to check the fuses as well. if not, then you might want to get a diagnostic tester and test it. i've had to do that many of times with my 91 exp.

Sorry, I missed the jumped directly part. How are you jumping it directly. From an out of vehicle battery or from your battery? Maybe you have a cabling issue down to your starter?
