Morning Drive
I was driving to work today and when I got on the exit ramp and hit the brakes all hell broke loose. It pulled severly to the right and smoke poured out of the engine compartment. I was able to get to work (only a few blocks away) and looked at the engine. Clean as could be. I couldn't find anything but it smelled real bad. I looked at the master cylinder and the rear (large reservior) was down about half. I didn't see and fluid on the wheels either. I was able to drive it to a service station and the brake pedal seemed to be much better.
Any Ideas? |

Sounds like maybe some brake fluid got squirted on the exhaust manifold. Based on what you said (pulled to the right) it could be the brake line that goes to the left-front brake.
Good thing you got it to a service station! You don't want to be driving around with failing brakes. Take (extreme) care,
