Re: noise in engine, when transmission doesnt shift

I believe its a turbo 350, itll shift manually, i think the vac from the carb was disconnected from the modulator valve, you think it might be caused by the modualtor? the engine sounds fine otherwise

thanks Hyspi

Re: noise in engine, when transmission doesnt shift

And I just realized you are the one that already insulted me and other members in previous posts!!!
Can't believe they still let you in here, at least I know I can't be a retard 'cause my modulator valve is connected to the vacuum source.

Re: noise in engine, when transmission doesnt shift

im not tryin to be a smart ass or anything but, common guys, chill out if your gunna fuss and cuss at each other do it with PM's so everyone else doesnt have to see it... -thank you-
as far as the problem at hand... does your tranny down shift by itself or do you have to do that manually to? and is it a continous problem or sort of speratic?
as far as the vac. reconnect it, if it doesnt solve anything then the modulator is probly bad...
good luck let us know what happens...

Re: noise in engine, when transmission doesnt shift

the questionwas only to ask if anyone had a tranmission that wouldnt shift, unless they did it manually ,and when they didnt and it didnt shift, can that cause a chatter type nosie from the engine, the questions not about the tranny, itll most likely be fixed with the modulator valve, maybe because someone had a loose vac line going to the tranny mod?

Re: noise in engine, when transmission doesnt shift

it sounds like a crank bearing, but it only makes a noise when its trying to shift and cant, otherwise it sounds and does fine, why is that so hard to grasp?

you don't have to worry about me trying to help you anymore, thumperclit, you are officially on my shitlist with your attitude and lack of respect, that doesn't get you anywhere. and please don't talk about the buddy system when all you are doing is offend, insult and belittle,.. .fix your car problems yourself or get a mechanic and pay for it, and there is no need to respond, because I won't read any of your comments anymore "buddy"!
