Slight Dropout When Cruising

This happened Friday night, then again Tuesday morning. When I'm driving down the highway, there has been a slight jolt like the engine or transmission disengages for a split second then picks back up. Happened about 6 times during a 20 minute drive.

Saturday, I filled up with premium thinking it was bad fuel and it cleared up until now.

2001 w/ 77k miles.

Thanks - Hank

No, not yet. I'll get on it. Should I just change the plugs and wires, or should I take it to a mechanic?

Re: Slight Dropout When Cruising

Search this section for full tuneup and you will find the parts you should replace.

plugs and wires is not a tuneup.

I had it happen, where it occurred 5 or 6 times in a 20 minute ride, completely go away for a few weeks then happen again. I ended up getting my tranny flushed and filter replaced and it was fine after that.
