So how fast is your car?

Well, just wondering what kind of cars we have here and how fast they are. Also post up your mods.

The Vehicle- 1993 F-150 Lightning.

Mods a CAI and an e-fan.

Though Ive never gone to a track to find out, my truck should go-

0-60 in 7-7.2 seconds.
1/4mi anywhere from 15.0-15.4 at around 88-89mph.

This is based on what other Gen 1 Lightnings times are with mods.

Hopefully Ill have new mufflers some time soon. And future planned mods are Underdrive pulleys, a shift kit, and a timing advance.

My goals are to go to a track and break the 14second and 90mph barrier. Which I should do with the above mods.

Re: So how fast is your car?

Car-E46 325i with a CAI

Times: Never run, but somewhere around the 15.4

However, right now I'm going for the gold, a pegged speedo needle. I've hit 150, it stops at 155.

Re: So how fast is your car?

2002 GT mustang 5 speed. Pics in my signature. I run low 14s..the track 'opened' the first sunday this month..but has been closed everyday due to 'inclement' weather that never came. My mod plans are as follows, in no order: exhaust/x pipe, 31 spline moser axles, 31 spline eaton posi, vortech s-trim, short throw shifter, deep dish bullits (17X10.5) in the rear..stock size up front. 275 (maybe smaller) nitto 555s up front, 315 nitto 555 drag radials outback, anddd it needs lowered too.

Re: So how fast is your car?

Hmmm, it's been awhile since we've had one of these:
2000 nissan maxima SE, automatic, comfort&convienence package
Performance Mods:
self-fabricated WAI
custommaxima.com Y-pipe
no cat
HKS axle-back exhaust system
progress lowering springs
NGK Iridium spark plugs
Non-performance Mods:
Street Scene 2-piece grille insert set
Body color painted front side markers
Debadged rear decklid
tons of scratches and door dings
cute little red nissan seatbelt pads
severely cracked windshield
Via G-tech, my best run is 15.23...could be faster or slower than that, depending on what track I run at, if I ever decide to track it...fastest I've hit on the speedo is an indicated 131, it maybe could go a little faster than that, but yeah, that about sums it up.

Re: So how fast is your car?

1972 Chevrolet Vega

Mods:

Engine/Trans:
406 cubic inch small block Chevy
flat top forged pistons

5.7 inch forged steel rods
400 steel crank
roller cam (probably .600 lift, don't actually know)
Pro 1 cast-iron heads--fully ported, shaved, chambers filled in, 2.08 intake, 1.60 exhaust valves
Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake
Holley Proform 750 (or maybe 730) cfm carb.
etc, etc, etc. Probably atleast a $6000 engine

Powerglide transmission (2-spd. auto for those that don't know)
trans. brake
eletric shift

Chassis/suspension:
tube frame
full roll cage
allum. floor boards
fully tubbed/stripped
4-link rear suspension with coil over shocks
narrowed 12-bolt Chevrolet rear end w/5.13 gear

Other:
full electronics (delay box-trans brake activated, line lock, two-step-3400 rpm off the line, 7000 rpm high-side chip, eletric fans/water pump/fuel pump)

It's a bracket/ET car. As it sets, it'll pull 1.4x 60s at a good track (1.5xs at where I normally race), with new slicks, it'll go probably very low 1.4xs at a good track and high 1.4xs at where I normally race. Will run between 6.60-6.70 in the 1/8th mile, and if it had the gear, probably 10.30 or something in the 1/4.

I race at a 330 ft. drag strip (all they have room for) and it runs 4.4x now (will go 4.3x with new slicks) at around 84-85 mph. While I dont know 0-60 times, it goes 0-about 85 mph in 4.3-4.4 seconds.

My everyday vehicle is a 1992 Chevrolet K1500, 4WD, regular cab, 350 TBI, 4-spd auto (700R-4) with 3.42 gears. I have an Airaid intake, Poweraid throttle body spacer, and Flowmaster exhaust. I have no idea what it will run (never raced it--thats why I have the car), but if I were guessing, i'd say somewhere in the 16 second range, lol.

Re: So how fast is your car?

My truck's details are in my signature. My 0-60 time is about 10 seconds (counted in my head while watching that semi get closer and closer). 1/4 mile could be as low as 9 seconds... if you start counting once I reach full speed. It's not that fast or quick (would do good with new carb, this one's junk), but I'll pull against any street racer
