94 Accord Cam/Crank Oil Leak
Replaced the crankshaft and camshaft seals when I did the timing belts. Now I have a minor oil leak. I assume it's from one of the replaced seals. Should I have used a sealant on the outside of the seals? Suggestions welcome before I dive in again. Thanks.

No. No sealant on seals. What did you use to drive them in? Did you do the balance shaft or oil pump or whatever it is seals too?

Re: 94 Accord Cam/Crank Oil Leak
90 - 97 accords are known to have bad balance shaft seals. there's a kit you can buy that gives you the seal and a retaining bracket. the only way to be sure where the leak is coming from is to remove the timing cover and go from there.

After removing the timing cover I saw that the oil was coming from the dipstick tube and out the bottom of the timing cover. Apparantly the O-ring wasn't seated well enough. Honda says to replace this ring each time the tube is removed. I put in a new ring and some RTV for good measure. Wish I had known this before going down the timing cover road again.
