Starter problems
the starter on my 1986 caprice is acting strange. when i first start it up it turns over fine but when i let it run for a while, cut it off, and start it again it turns over slow like the battery is dead. what could be wrong?

If you let it sit for a while (few hours) after shutting it off does it start slow as well? If so, you might have a bad altenator, but it sounds kinda wierd (It should be the other way around). Your starter might possibly need a rebuild.

Sounds like the starter is suffering from heat soak. Probably time for a new one..

Sounds similar to a problem I had with my '85 and my old '83. Check the small ground wire that goes from the battery to the fender. Sometimes the 10mm bolt works its way loose and causes a slow drain. Do you make a lot of short trips? The alternator can't recharge the battery too efficiently with a slow drain and short trips.
