Stalling Out Jimmy
1996 GMC Jimmy 4.3L 4x4
Hey everyone, Hope you guys can help me out on this one, I'm lost! My truck runs fine for about half the day then after that it stalls out whatever I do. It runs fine then all the sudden it hesitates majorly and I hear a popping noise from the exhaust. Then if I leave it parked for about an hour it will run fine for about 15 minutes. I just replaced my EGR valve and fuel filter. Thanks in advance!

My EGR on my '94 S15 V6 was choked with carbon and was only an indication that the whole engine had carbon deposits almost choking off some of the intake ports. I don't know what the condition of your EGR was.

I'm pretty sure the popping is coming from the exhaust, I can feel it in the floorboard. As for the condition of my EGR valve, it was black on the inside, but nothing really stoppping the opertaion of it.
***UPDATE**** I've tested it lots over the past week, this seems to only happen when I am driving with my A/C on.... not sure how this ties in!? THANKS FOR REPLIES!!
