Power window assistance?
I just picked up a 99 Jetta III. Just trying to get rid of some kinks. How do I determine if the power window motor or regulator needs replacing? I need to remove the door panels to see what is going on. I removed all of the allen screws and there seem to be something else. What am I misiing?
Does anyone have a suggestion on the best manual to pick up for this car? |

The regulators dont need replacing unless the window is having problems opening/closing. Plus there pretty expensive.
There are 2 philips bolts behind the inner door handle / window switch pannel thingy. |

The regulators go bad on these alot, mainly the cables break. A new regulator is about 160$.

Re: Power window assistance?
check with dealer about extended warranty, my 2001 I got letters for extended warranty on the window regs and the MAF (both replaced)
for manual I would recommend the bently manuals http://www.bentleypublishers.com/ |
