I got a 95 sunfire, factory tape deck. i was wondering if it was possible to hook an amp and a cd changer to the tape deck and have it play cds? i can see it says cd on the deck but it dosent light up. I dont want to put a new deck in it. Thanks

Re: adding cd changer to factory deck?

If im not mistaken some factory radios have and "Aux/Cd" button or something like that could mean there is another output channel for an amp or woofer but i dont think you plug a cd changer to the factory dec you mostl likely have to rip it out....But im not too sure ive never dealt with the audio parts of my fire just the mechanical so i could be wrong

Re: adding cd changer to factory deck?

Yep. Like stated above if you have that CD button, you can hook it directly. Goto www.mnrelectronics.com for the OEM changer. For the amp, just get a line level converter and you'll be able to hook any amp up.
