00 JGC Electrical problem

Please help! 2000 JGC Laredo V6 2WD 95,000 miles. At first, it felt like the transmission was skipping. Then one day it stalled and it started up again right away but it felt like it was going in 3rd gear - then stalled again and the Major Malfunction light came on. It started again and got me home. I took it in for repair and they couldn't duplicate the problem and when it had stalled the computer had been reset so they did not know what it was. It kept doing it off and on. Took it back and they finally got it do it in the shop, but every time it happens it resets the computer. Finally replaced the computer but still have the same problem. This has been going on for about 3-4 months (except the malfunction light has only come on the one time). After they put in the new computer, we took it on a trip and you could tell when it would die because you can feel it skip and it would knock the cruise control off. It's back at the dealership again but they can't seem to target the problem. Has anyone had somehting like this happen?

I had a similar problem with my 97 jgc 5.2L. It was the pressure regulator/fuel filter in the tank. It is a bad design..............maybe this is your problem too

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll call the dealership and tell them to check it out.
