Had some fun with a G20

93 Infiniti J30
Base Number of Cylinders: 6 Base Engine Size: 3 liters
Base Engine Type: V6 Horsepower: 210 hp
Max Horsepower: 6400 rpm Torque: 193 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 4800 rpm Drive Type: RWD
Curb Weight 3527lbs

(thinking it's a 93) G20
Base Number of Cylinders: 4 Base Engine Size: 2 liters
Base Engine Type: Inline 4 Horsepower: 140 hp
Max Horsepower: 6400 rpm Torque: 132 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 4800 rpm Drive Type: FWD
Turning Circle: 35.4 ft.
Curb Weight: 2745 lbs.

Today heading home from school i did a cool sounding peelout in the parking lot.... which got some looks

but that's not a g20

heading home i came across a red G20 with two guys in the car. they look at me and start laughing

my music was up pretty high and i couldn't hear them but they started honking. I turn the music down and the passenger went 'your car's a piece of shit man"

i went "where's your car?"

shut him up a little... he talks to the driver and goes "wanna race to the next light?" (about a mile or so down the road)

I nod and light goes green. I floor it, spin the rear tires a bit and get a good 2 lengths in front of them, i know there's cops around, i just know it, so (40mph limit) going about 70 i begin to shut down approaching the light and they are like 3-4 behind me at this point. I wait for them at the light, but they make a quick left and dart away.

I got lucky too cause a cop was like 2 miles down further. my radar began beeping bloody murder when i got a little further (close to our dmv) and he was radaring...

but it was a good kill, very enjoyable.

Ahhh Family feud...you would think that the G20 would have put up a better fight, considering it has the SR20 and all...good kill.

Re: Had some fun with a G20

Well a stang would be easier, cheaper, faster, and much more effective. But the J30 would be soo much cooler...

You didn't beat an sr20de that's impossible! Are those manuals? 6400 is 1100rpm's less then my cars redline. I'd like to have one if I could have an sr20det put in one.

Re: Had some fun with a G20

yea, it's real tempting for a mustang... don't get me wrong, i love my J30... but damn man... i want some aftermarket and i would also like more options for performance, and i've always loved mustangs, so i think next year this time i'll have enough saved up for one.

Re: Had some fun with a G20

Is there any type of motor swap you can go for on the J30? I could see that as being a good sleeper if you could find something that you could swap in. And maybe, if you can, that would open up the doors for aftermarket performance parts. L8...

Re: Had some fun with a G20

not to my knowledge... it's got the same engine as a non turbo 300zx, but the turbo won't fit in the engine bay.... so no go on that,

unless i want to do some heavy fabrication, it doesn't seem likely anything else will fit in there

Re: Had some fun with a G20

VG30 right? Just do performance-wise what the owner of a 3rd Gen Maxima SE would do...I'm sure there's an aftermarket out there for it.
