passenger side mirror

OK, long story short, someone clipped my girlfriend's passenger mirror on her '01 SE. It snapped right off, the plastic that held the screws broke, and the screws snapped in half, but there was no damage to the rest of the mirror. So I used some epoxy putty and stuck the mirror back on...it worked fine for a week of daily driving, but after 3-4 hours of driving at ~80mph the wind got the best of it and pried it loose until it snapped off again.
So at this point we are on the side of the road, with very few options...I tried tieing it in place with shoelace...needless to say I abandoned that plan pretty quick. So I sliced the 3 wires holding the mirror to the car, and put the mirror in the backseat...so drive completed, I'm now trying to find something that will work.

I can solder the wires back together myself...but I have no idea what to do about reattaching the mirror. Some have said gorilla glue, but I don't feel like wasting more money on stuff that will only work for awhile. If I had more time I'd go to a junkyard and find another mirror and screw that one on...short of doing just that, does anyone have any ideas/solutions?

Re: passenger side mirror

Why not look up a replacement of the same color at www.car-parts.com and ordering over the phone then just bolting it up. They are usually pretty cheap. Good luck
