Calibrate Speedometer:

I have a recently acquired 98 Burban that has 285/75 16 tires on it. I doubt that the speedo was adjusted to the larger diameter tires. Is there a simple process for adjusting the speedo on this machine to make it read correctly?

THANKS!

Re: Calibrate Speedometer:

The stealership will have to update your PCM calibration for larger tires. I don't know if a Snap-On scanner would be able to do that.

Re: Calibrate Speedometer:

Hi,
most any handheld performance programmer like Superchips or Hypertech will do it, also can firm up tranny shifts. Cost is about $300.
Take care, Eggert
