key removed!! still got power???
After removing my key from the ignition cylinder I can hear a whistling coming through my speakers. This gives me one very dead battery after 12 hours. The ignition cylinder is new. I am unaware if there was anything else I was supposed to replace when I did it. The initial problem which led me to replace the lock was that after I removed the key it was like I was still in ACC (radio, clock, ect.still worked). I dont know if its a short or a sticky relay. Info is scarce in this component. Even with the new cylinder the initial problem is starting to come back. Any help would be really appreciated!!!!

I forgot to mention that it was a 90 celly. When the key is removed the steering wheel pops into the fullt raised position. supposidly telling me the key was removed properly. When the new cylinder went in I stopped having the problem with the radio ect. having power but the speakers still had a whistle

Re: key removed!! still got power???
i mean, not to make you seem foolish, but it could mean a whole different problem. If you car is completely off, except your radio, you should rewire the sucker because its probably wired straight into the battery or something.
