Re: wich motor?

If you want a great running 240 that handles well and is the lesser nightmare of the two....go SR20DET. The RB isn't worth the hassle (unless...you go RB25DET or bigger).

BTW I wonder if this question has ever been asked before.

Also BTW it is which....not wich.

Re: wich motor?

yeah unless you go with the rb25 or 26, the sr20 is by all means a better choice, but the modification required on the rb25 is much less then that required on the 26, just a little info if you wanna go that route.

Re: wich motor?

ya rb26 would be the only rb id go with, sr20's are badass and are made for the car so you can't go wrong, plus it will save your wallet a hassle.

Re: wich motor?

read the faqs... then depending on what kind of car you want... choose. Personally, a lighter engine with more torque is desireable. The sr is getting played out now... but nothing's wrong with it. The rb25 is cheaper and will fit better than the 26... with the 26 you are going to need a 25 tranny anyway so it'll be more work. Plus, the 25 is more common in japan since it came in many cars like the gt-s.... so it'll be cheaper than the rb26.

i don't know why i even typed that... it's not even helpful... you could've got that in the faqs.... ah fuk it.

Physically the RB 26 is the same size as the RB20. The block is virtually the same.

sr

i dont know about you russell but i know my sr is not played out!!
And even if it was, its still a better engine for a well built 240sx. rb20,25, both suck my nuts and as for a rb26dett well save that for a fast show car.
