Do I need new suspension?

I wanted to get a body kit for my 96 accord. Most likely the body kit will give my car less ground clearance. A friend was telling me that I should get a new suspension kit to prevent the kit from scrapping a lot. But, it seems that any suspension usually lowers the car at least another inch or so, leaving even less ground clearance. What should I do?

Put the body kit on first. A jacked up car with body kit would look terrible, most of the time the cars are lowered and you just need to drive differently.

youll be fine without the kit just remeber to take speed bumps and other such things at a angle so that one side goes before the other. Or better said...well i guess theres no better way to say it just dont take them head on cuz then youll scrap and we all know how horrible its sounds and makes you feel

Re: Do I need new suspension?

Some mods to lessen rebound and control roll would be useful in keeping the plastic off the ground. A set of progressive rate coil springs will keep it from bottoming as easily on compression, and improve ride/handling. And larger diameter stabilizer bars with urethane bushings and links will control body roll better, keep it from grinding the outside on a curve, and it will handle better too.
