Quick disconnect

wanted to know if you can replace the quick disconnects on the fuel rail with the old fuel rubber hose and clamp.
I have a leak on mine, I noticed that it was a little wet. So I took it off, and 1 of the rings came out broken. Napa doesn't have an O ring small enough, and the chevy and pontiac dealer didnt have them either. (wanted to sell me a new line and fitting$$$$) UUUGGHHHHH.
Sooooo, wanted to know if we can do it the old way............ Or is it too much pressure??

Yup. It'll blow out regular fuel line, if it would even stay clamped on (not likely)

thats what I kinda figured.
where can one find these lovely o rings.........
they sold a quick disconnet repair kit at auto zone, whre you splice into the current line, and hose and clamp the new one on. Would that splice hold the pressure??

Car quest sold me a set of o-rings that worked beautifully!

They do sell hi pressure fuel injection rubber hose, about 4 bucks a foot. If pipe has a raised ring on the end of it, and you could get the hose over it far enough to use say, 3 clamps, it would "probably" hold. But.......Better safe than FIRE!!!!!

since i'm not to fond of burning up the car. I will try to find the orings, or replacve the quick disconnect.
The reason why I asked about the fuel line was that the guy at an Autozone said it would work. But I had my doubts.
