95 J30 parking brake adjustment problem

This 1995 Infinity J30 with 93000 miles failed for state inspection-
car will move in drive while parking brake applied. I tighten the
10mm nut located just above the pedal, now parking brake pedal
became more firm, I can't push the car in neutral while emergency
brake is on, but when car is running in drive, it can still
overpower parking brake.

I have not done brake job at the rear wheel, pads or rotor not
changed, owned for last 20000 miles. Need your help what it
could be that parking brake wont hold the car in drive. If I
tighen any more the 10mm nut, it may break the brake cable.

Any suggestions.

The brake wires rust solid because of no exercise, cracked shroud: its like granpa's problem... With automatic P one seldom needs brake. Replace both side wires (and then use it periodically).

...check www.autozone.com for DIY online manual

Nako buddy.WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO GIVE OUT INFORMATION ABOUT THINGS YOU HAVE NO KNOWLAGE OF!Why don't you just shut your fucking mouth. The j30 has a seperate set of shoes for the park brake alone. Suren : remove your rear tires and you will see a rubber plug{grommet}on your rotor.Remove this plug and it will allow you to adjust the park brake shoes. If you need further info let me know.Don't listen to the ramblings of this mindless idiot who likes to wrap his coils in rubber.

Thanks infiman. I will remove the wheels and adjust star wheel
thorugh the hole.

Surprise to hear a grommet in the rotor. The other car, maxima
brake was adjusted by the caliper. Will keep you posted. Thanks.
