98 Saturn SL1 won't stay running
I had recently been in an a slight fender bender and drove the car home. Now everytime I try to start the car, it takes a while for it to start (like no gas) and then it will start. But after that I try to rev the engine and the car begins to stall and die. Please help!!!

I would first check the vacuum hoses to make sure none are dislodged.
@nd I would replace the fuel filter if old and has a lot of miles on it. Let us know how you make out.

Re: 98 Saturn SL1 won't stay running
The car has approximately 130,000 miles on it and the hit was on the driver's side rear bumber. The impact was pretty decent and the damage is now a little worse than I thought. Now the trucnk won't quite close right. Is there any kind of inertia/fuel shut-off switch on a saturn?

Re: 98 Saturn SL1 won't stay running
no inertia switch. but the fuel pump, pressure regulator, and filter are all back in that area, i think the charcoal canister is back there to. maybe something got damaged or dislogged and cloged or something. you may want to get a fuel pressure tester and take some measurements. one small possiblty is ether the pump and/or regulator have a small check ball that keep fuel pressure up after shutdown. that check ball may be stuck open
