Unhappy Wake Up Call

so the crazyest thing happend to me yesterday on my way to work..

i driving the stanza on the hi way, doing 60 in the right lane so i see traffic is getting heavy and the left lane is clear, so i decide to switch over.. not this ass in a mini van comes and decides he wants to go form the far left into the right line while im trying to get into the middle lane so i have to swerve back into my lane so i wont hit him, so i dont know what the hell happend but the car started to pull hard to the wall so i try to turn the well to the left and the car pulls hard the other way, so im fiting with the car and its going crazy on the hi way, pulling to each side.. then the wosrt thing possibe happens

i start to spin..

the car spins 6 times on the hi way form the far right lane into the extreme left lane.. i was so lucky as the car was spinning i feel it going towards the walls so i try to turn the car so it wont hit the wall,, that why the car spun so many times, at the end of the last spin the car was facing the right way on traffic.. at the end of it all, i didnt hit the car at all or hit any other car, and i just drove off like nuthing happend..

im am soo f*ckin lucky.. i could of wiped out on the hi way yesterday, i spun 6 times in traffic not hitting any car or the walls, im very very luck, some one up there is looking out for me..

i know it sounds hard to swallow but its a true story, im not exgrating on anypart, this is not a joking matter.. i was scard shitless after this..
now i know to be very careful.. casue they are ass that cant drive and dont look..

Re: Wake Up Call

Thats my mom... dosent look when gchanging lanes, most people don't even signal which is the worst thing.... Nevermind, scratch that.. reverse it, the worst thing is old people who slowly drift into your lane, ever notice how they never drift away from your lane?

Re: Wake Up Call

Remember... always steer into the spin.

Or counter-steer and mash the gas and drift outta it YO!.. MAD TYTE! TAKUMIIIII!!!!!111+1

Good Jorb not wreckin the car... hey, shit happens... I spun my Z out a while back on a connecting road between two freeways in a light drizzle and went through what I think was some diesel or oil on the road. I wasn't even on the gas, if anything I was barely on it, driving normal.

Ass just walked around and I spun into the Iceplant... I got myself out cause the Z is a offroad machine and went and got my car Dyno'd. Acted as if nothing happened.

Re: Wake Up Call

I was driving down my road after a snow storm a few weeks ago, person didn't have their lights on and i came up behind them going 60, i lightly pressed the brakes and the ass end slid out behind me, i kept having to counter steer, like 5 times but eventually i got control of it. Yeah it sucks but you're alright this time, just be more careful from now on.

I'd never thought I'd see the day when a Mod said something as stupid as Burntrice . Granted I say stupid things all the time, but a mod? Forshame...

Glad to hear you are alright turbo2nr. It wasn't your fault that some idiot didn't know how to drive. Atleast you made it out without a scratch. If it were me, I woulda had my left hand out the window flipping off the mini van screaming, "How bout them apples!". But that's me. L8...

Re: Wake Up Call

Shit dude glad you're OK. I've had several interesting rush hour encounters with idiot drivers, but never lost control. As long as your head is out of your ass, and you're lucky once in a while, you'll be OK. Glad you're still here.

Re: Wake Up Call

Yeah, unexpected spinning sucks, I'm pretty sure most can relate...glad to hear you were lucky and didn't get hurt or do any damage to the car.

Re: Wake Up Call

Another good technique is to tap the brakes to stabilize the car out. Sounds like you lost control of the weight. Glad to hear you are okay. BE CAREFUL!

Hmm... just gotta be careful not to tap too hard, you could throw the weight balance too far forward and only make things worse. Or you could end up locking them up... and making all kinds of tire smoke...

Hahaha, Redneck put down the crackpipe.

You spun 6 times though, thats insane. If one was going like 70 and loses control, 6 rotations are quite a few. Sorry to sound like an ass, but were you counting?

Anyways, good to her you're alive and well.

Yeah I would definately watch how you tap the brakes, because that can definately make things worse if not done correctl.

Glad to hear you are ok, and I hate drivers that almost kill you and dont care...actually, I just hate drivers who almost kill you

any word on your next set of wheels?

Re: Wake Up Call

yea i was six times, it was wierd, that was alot of rotations in the car, the main reason it spun soo much in my view is casue i kept fiting with the wheel so i wouldnt hit the wall, so i guess i keep the car spining in different directions from avoiding hit it...

o0o man i guess that was my first drift experience lol.. see if i knew how to drift and watched more INITAL D i to can be like takumi and be JDM approved!

as for the next car.. still no word..

The power of editing. I see you are posting with VTEC. Isn't it a great option . But it takes too long to kick in with a good comeback .

Still no word on your next car? What do you mean? I thought you already knew what you were getting. Or are you just teasing us? If anything, I've learned from experience with the guys here in the SR forums that secrets lead to everyone running around like a buncha chickens with their heads cut off. You gotta spill the beans sooner or later . L8...

Re: Wake Up Call

damn...thats some scary shyt...I got scared as hell last week. I was drivin down a little 2 lane road at night, no shoulders or anything...then as SOON as I get to the part with the shoulders, I see TWO sets of headlights comin straight at me. The road has a double yellow line, too. When I got to where they were, they were side by side. If they were just a little closer to me, I'd have had no choice but to hit the guy head on or swerve to the right and hit a tree, plow through a big fence and run into a ditch, or plow through that fence and spin out of control and probably get stuck. I was so fukkin lucky...
