Musical Car Horn Knocks Out Door Locks
Re 2004 Ford Ranger Edge w/3.0 V-6...
I have an electronic musical car horn (the kind that plays a certain tune)--just clip the N(-) & P(+) clips to the 12v battery is all it takes--has worked perfectly on two other vehicles--horn still works ok on 04 Ranger, but renders the electronic automatic door locks unservicable....
Why?
Ford dealer sez this shouldn't happen, but door lock operation is restored only when horn is disconnected again from car battery.???
