AC and check oil issue
ON my 93 JGC my tank is full with freon and when the system is on i can feel the lines are cold but the cool air does not reach its destination. Any ideas what should i check?
Also is there any way to reset the check oil that flashes on the computer dash by the shifter? Thanks |

Re: AC and check oil issue
I yanked the computer dash by the shifter. It was real annoying. I took the computer part out, tossed it, and replaced the face. I am going to install my toggles and my CB mount there. It also got rid of that annoying beeping.

Re: AC and check oil issue
I am not sure about the AC problem, I have the same problem.
The VIC (Vehicle Information Center), you can reset it by pressing and holding the SET and SELECT buttons at the same time, then go through the steps (language, mileage to next due date, etc) |

Both A/C lines should not be same temp. 1 should be noticeably warmer than other, Check freon level (134a). Also Jeep had problem with 93 GC's evaporator's leaking and extended warranty to 100k.
If when the blower is on high and no air is coming from the vents check to see that the blend door (Jeep also had a problem with them) is opening by applying vacuum to the operating motor under the dash on the passenger side. Do you get heat from the vents? If not the Evaporator Core's fins maybe clogged with debris preventing air from flowing across evaporator. |
