I have a 1994 Silverado, 5.0, with the 4L60E trans. It was rebuilt at about 60k and now has approx 112k on the odometer. The trans has been shifting fine until about a two weeks ago when it began shifting very soft between 1st & 2nd, 2nd & 3rd, and 3rd into OD. It will shift into gears and once in gear it does not slip out of gear. I put a shift kit in a week ago and that helped, however; when the trans gets hot it starts to shift very soft again. I check the codes on a scanner, but got nothing. I was thinking about replacing the input, output sensors, speed sensors and throttle position sensors, but I don't know if that would help since I am not getting any error codes. Any suggestions?

Re: 1994 4L60E soft shifts
Have you flushed the fluid yet?

could be the torque converter if not replaced when the tranny was rebuilt if converter was changed its prob. going to be the force motor getting weak. if it is the force motor you can turn it up, and if that fixes the prob. i would replace it all together. its about 50$ oh yea make sure to change your tranny filter also!
