AC Delco...In 25+ years of driving I have tried just about every plug made (if it was made for my vehicle) and I always come back to AC.
I've found that the other plugs never live up to their hype, not even close.

Re: spark plugs

NGK's are claimed to be really good, I've also heard good things about Bosch plugs. Honestly I think it is personal preference, sorta like brand of oil everybody has some oil they dislike and some oil they swear by, all personal preference.

Re: spark plugs

AC Delco are what I have in mine and they seem to be good. I don't know if you will have to do this with your Camaro but when I changed my plugs they were in really tight and we had to unbolt the motor from the engine mount. That made it rotate just enough so we could get to the last plug on the passanger side. Good Luck

It did for me...The Bosch platnum plugs all fouled out in less than 500 miles..on an engine with only 35k on it. I put AC's back in it and had no more problems.
Champion gold palladium plugs...1200 miles and shot. NGK copper core's, same, same.
None of the plugs I have tried would out last AC's. Most were no worse than AC. None were better, but they all cost more.

As far as changing them, I'd buy some headers and change them when you install the headers. LOL, that's what I did.

Just plain old AC Delco's, change them once a year, or at least inspect and regap and you'll be just fine.

I have an older car and engine style, but I had a noticeable difference in both gas mileage and performance by putting in the Bosch Platinum +4 plugs. Haven't had any problems with them fouling either, but again, my car is older and carbeurated.

Re: spark plugs

Used to swear by Bosch platinums. Then all of the sudden they started running really hot and fouling out. This occusred in all my cars and caused spark knock in my 85 Caprice and a misfire code in a 97 Lumina. Seems the quality was deminished over time. Now I use the recommended Ac Delco stockers and enjoy not have any problems.

I've run NGK-TR55's for the past three summers (replaced them twice - every other summer) and I'm looking to switch. I found them to be very dirty plugs.

I think I will be going back to a stock OE manufacturers plug, platinum or iridium if available just to get a cleaner burn - I'll still change them every other summer. A few guys I know seem to think that our engines like colder plugs... I dunno about that but the V-Power's are history.

Anyone ever tried Champion plugs?
