Factory CD player Error
When ever I put a CD into my CD player, my CD player ejects my CD and then E20 displays on my screen. But sometimes the CD player will play the CD after tons of attempts, but if I skip any songs then the CD player will eject it and give me the E20. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Re: Factory CD player Error
That error actually means you have a scratched lens. There's really no other way to fix the problem other then to replace the head unit. Sorry to have to break the news

Re: Factory CD player Error
I belive that Sir Ridenour is correct, however you may want to try spraying it with some canned air maybe the lense is dirty and is reading a scratch instead. It's worth the try $6.00 for canned air may save you $100.00's.
Just a thought. |

Re: Factory CD player Error
^ ^ Oh yeh Amen to that, Hoags. My CD player on my laptop was acting up the other day, and I blew it out with some compressed air, and no more problems.

Re: Re: Factory CD player Error
Mine does it when it gets wet outside. After the car warms up, it starts working fine. I'm telling you, these cars don't like rain at all.

Re: Factory CD player Error
Sikman, Try blowing your's out with the canned air it sounds like you have some moisture trapped in the unit. Hit it with the canned air a couple of times to dry it out.
