HELP, I need help bad!

Hello, just the other day i got my 73 sb back , and when my friend pulled it into the driveway it was backfiring and wouldent idle. when I went out the next day to start it, it didnt. I replaced the points, cap , rotor, plug, and wires.
got the coil checked and it was said to be "fine" I pulled wires off the plugs and tired to get them to arc, and they wouldent, and same with the dist. I alos tried hardwiring it from the battery to the coil and nothing happened after that. The car has a 009 dist, and a Jacons performance ing. with Bosh platinums plugs. thanks,
mike

Re: HELP, I need help bad!

The problem is either ur timing is off, try turning the distributor 180 degrees. It may not be starting because ur carb might be flooding the engine. try carb cleaner and dont push the gas pedal.

Do you have 12V+ on one side of the coil with the key on?
