White smoke out of tail pipe

Hello people. I was looking for some advice on my 99 Concord. I just bought it thru my Trans shop. The planets blew up on the previous owner and I put a 606 in it rebuilt brand new,,,sweeet. I was just looking trugh some of the posts and I have the dreaded 2.7 in it. How ever the car looks to be maintained regually buy a deal service center.

The oil has beenchanged a lot because whae I bought it, the first thing I did was change the oil. The plug was misssing its threads in the pan and there was a heilicoil in it... Good sign. Now I work on car on a regular day to daay cycle. I have had it sitting for a day or two and today, I started it up and I had a little cloud of greyish white smoke. A lite went of in my head and said, bad heads. I monitored the anti freeze and it didn't look as if I was loosing any.

Anyone have any ideas.

Just condensation. Our 93 Concorde does the same thing for a while. It also depends on the weather and how much water you may have in your gas. As long as the oil isn't turning into a milkshake and you're not losing any coolant, there's nothing to worry about. Our 93 Concorde may have some bugs of its own, but it's a very dependable car.

Re: White smoke out of tail pipe

It's my mom's, but I drive it every now and then. I believe it has over 123,000 miles on it. I usually do the minor repairs on it. The engine does have its quirks. It hasn't done this in a long time, but it has a fit where it'll stall if I let go of the gas when going under 25 MPH. Then it may either be running too rich or have a lot of carbon buildup. But I LOVE it when a white car rides my ass. Then I stomp on the gas and let the transmission drop to 2nd and watch a shitload of black smoke pour out of the exhaust. It's priceless!
