Wink d15b all motor setup.

hey i have a question for anyone really, i have a d15b2 and a 5 spd si tranny, light weight crank pulley, high flow cat, exhaust, intake, headers, bored out throttle body, and std dome pistons. how much hp do you think i would be putting out with this setup? I know the tranny dont matter for hp but just wanted to point out i already have it. And what kind of et times am i lookin for in my 90 civic dx hatchback full interior with 16 inch rims i catch massive traction with these.

Re: d15b all motor setup.

well downgrade the rims like 2 or 3 inches, Im sure you could break into the high 17's.

I assume he has a MPFI swap. I dont think boring out a b2 throttle body could have any gains!

Just out of curiosity, why did you use STD domed pistons? There are a LOT of other pistons that would raise the compression much higher and would be more worthwhile.

Re: d15b all motor setup.

Yea sorry another thing i have the vtec head from d16, and my d15b2 normally came stock with 96hp and the bored throttle body was just for throttle response. I dont really have the money to bore it out so i went with the std size dome piston. And just to let you integra lovers know i did beat a std ls integra with b18 so i know i am faster than 17's. but to you people who replied w/out being dicks thank you for your time and to all of you dicks we just see when i get it dyno'd in a couple of weeks and i will post here w/ my et times aight laterz!

"std dome" pistons? STD has a d15b1 which has flat tops..

I think he's just abbreviating the word "standard".

I realize this, and honda civic standards have a d15b1, which has flat top pistons.

Re: d15b all motor setup.

hey do you 2 know what your talking about yo! Std dome pistons in which they are not oversized!! so before you mouth off get your facts straight. Just in case your dumber than you look I mean they are standard size just the stock sized piston but domed and yes i know the d15 came stock with flat top!
