This site would be awesome if you "learned" folks, instead of being an ass, just answered the question. I've searched for 5 hours, and still have no clue if they make a turbo for a d15b7. If you know, it'd take you 30 seconds to type "yeah, garrett makes one. they claim 200 whp" or just dont type anything.
Your link didnt help in any way. Most links were for d16 or b series... Not at all informative. Are all 900 of your posts so useless? |

Re: 92 civic LX questions
searching is learning. the info is there. you just aint trying hard enough. when you read the b and d series turbo applications, they are 90% applicable to you.
http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1024174 http://www.forcedperformance.net/faq.aspx http://www.turbominivan.com/tech/turbo201.htm http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question122.htm http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=642479 http://www.hondata.net/forum/ http://home.mn.rr.com/keebler65/honda/ http://www.hondata.com/ http://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/index.php http://www.beesandgoats.com/boostfaq/g2icturbo.html http://www.cse.uconn.edu/~yelevich/turbo/turbo.html if you actually went through that search, you would have found all that info. if you are still lost in that search, then, i have plenty more links to provide. when you search and learn, then, you will find out that there are more revelant things to the turbo setup than your regular question asking about power gains and application.................a question that is asked approximately once every 2 or 3 days.

Re: 92 civic LX questions
any d16z6 turbo kit ill work but beware that kits are usualy tuned for the engine they are ment to be on. u can also put together a turbo kit out of parts in a junkyard or w/e but ur d15 wont be able to take much boost neither will it last very long probably.

Re: 92 civic LX questions
lets end this here.
If you need to ask if they make a kit for your car and are to lazy to do the reasearch yourself. then no they dont and you shouldnt turbo your car anyways cause your just gonna blow it up. there happy now? |

Re: 92 civic LX questions
Hahaha, great picture ace!
Why not just swap your motor? How many miles on your b7? Honestly I think you would be happier with a z6 swap with less miles or an LS swap and then turbo either of those motors. Hell even go b16 turbo, yea it all costs more but if your looking for perfomance its the way to go.

Re: 92 civic LX questions
Well thats also all the more reason to swap...but keep it as a spare incase something bad happends to the swapped motor.
You'll be way happier with a different boosted motor even maybe just all motor B series.

seriously guys, lighten up, what fun can basicaly asking people to stop the forum and just search for everything they need, this is a community right? if your neighbor asks for some suger would you tell them to go to the store? me personaly, i would love to help people out on a case-to-case basis. newbie, turbonetics makes a turbo kit for the d15, it started as a custom job kinda thing but you can e-mail them and ask them for a price. comptech makes a superchanger that CAN work (i hurd there is alot you have to do to actually set it up correctly). thats all i know, and superblue, you have been here waaay long and i think you are getting tiered of it, move to another forum and learn something new, but dont shoot people down so easyly.

Re: 92 civic LX questions
No he's just sick of all the newbies who are too lazy to search, as most of us who have been here for years are. I think the problem is (other than people not searching before asking questions) is that there aren't enough stickys with all the links in them, to make it easier for newbies to find info. Not that it will stop people from asking anyways. I mean look at Honda-tech, they've got tons and tons of stickys with links in them yet people still ask questions over and over again. And the way the forum has been going so slowly lately, you're more likely to find an answer searching before anyone even takes the time to get to your question.
And DUI. How about you go to another forum if you don't like it here. I guarentee most of us who have been here a long time, and who tell others to search, aren't all just going to go away. Try going over to honda-tech and see how you like it there. Believe me they rip into people far worse than anyone here does. You need to learn to conform to the way things go around here and conform to the posting etiquette we follow here. Everyone here is more than willing to help answer questions, that's why we're all still here. But when people ask the same damn questions constantly, it gets on your nerves after a while. Stick around for a while and you'll understand. |

most noobs who ask a question and recieve a search answer take it so negatively. but, that is typical of noobs. they will get over it and figure it out. some noobs just want their answers on a platter...................who wouldnt i sure would. if your going to do some serious work on your vehicle using online forum info...................(1)search (2) learn (3) apply what you learned. asking questions can be applied in betwees any of the steps........................but come on, Quote:
