Re: hey i have a 99 626 V6 would an RX-7 motor be a good swap and is it possible?

I dont think there would be a huge benifit to this. Your better off just buying a RX7 as the work involved in making any rotary motor fit in there is HUGE. Practicaly every part you use othere than the engine will need to be custom. Not to mention making the car RWD, working out the tranny placement as there is no room for one. Engine mounting, exhaust ect ect ect.

But with enough money you could do it.

As for engines, id say a 20B, i have a few in my shop and i plan on doing a swap in an FC soon. But this will prob take a few years to get running well.

would work in a 929 though, still takes work but not nearly as much as a 626.

seen some rally FB in UK with older 626 front differential and driveshafts. pretty nice rally setup if u ask.

but u need guts and money to loose to convert a fwd to a rwd

you could make a tranny adaptor tho, seen units for vw tranny, to fit rotary in beetles

Is it a must to make it a FR? It can't be a FF?

thats the drivetrain, ff means the car is powered by the front like a civic or an integra, fr refers to cars with a motor in the front and powered in the rear, example, the rx7 nissan silvias, 350zx...
