I've had my 04 jetta in the shop 5 times over this issue. They finally have a solution to use an ascending unit out of a stainless steel gas tank on the GLS jetta modul? It seems to have corrected the problem.
Also is anyone having problems wtih no volume coming out of the radio when the weather is cold. This happens to me for about 10 minutes on start up?

04 is under warranty. That radio issue is an internal radio problem and the unit needs to be replaced.

There are alot of problems with fuel level sending units being bent when installed at the factory causing the guage not to read full. Also it is sometimes not properly calibrated at the factorty.
