If you've ever wondered....

Just thought i'd share a little test result. If you've ever wondered if you could pull a 360 in your SL on dry pavement, YOU CAN! Unless you don't know how, but last night I decided i'd try pulling that move that was done on F&F2 where he did a 180 on the highway and drove backwards and then swung back around. Well I did it to perfection, idk how fast they were goin in the movie but i was doin about 55 when i hit the Ebrake. Don't worry it wasn't on the highway, it was on a wide, long business road late at night with no one around except a trucker waiting for his load that saw the whole thing. The car took it nicely too, much control.

Re: If you've ever wondered....

I've done this at super slow speeds. Its not really that difficult. I did it in a big open parking lot at under 10 mph.

Re: If you've ever wondered....

Yeah, me and a couple friends screwed around with my 3000 in big empty parking lot behind a High School. My car took it surprisingly well. I'd really like AWD though...it would make drifting...possible? I've heard that there is no such thing as FWD drifting, but we got some good powerslides going.

Re: If you've ever wondered....

If you mean drifting like you see those japanese pros do...it is predominantly rwd. IMO breaking lose by going fast around a turn in AWD would be powersliding...
Burnouts, donuts, and/or sliding sideways isn't 'drifting'

This thread says it all:

Yeah i've seen that video before, I know it's physically possible but like it can't really hurt my FWD that much, I was wondering how hard it would be on the AWD drivetrain if at all.
