Passat Climate Control

I had a question in regards to the climate control module on the Passat. I do not currently have it, but was considering purchasing a unit off of eBay. Would this work, or is there alot more involved than just taking the center dash out and plugging it in? Thanks for the help in advance.

I don't believe you can replace just the "module" as the unit is integrated into the whole A/C-heater control panel. Replacement is still fairly simple, unclip the trim at the top & bottom then remove the four panel screws to pull out the unit.

Manual ac uses cables to operate the vent doors. Climatronic uses electrical motors.
