I have a 91 Ford Probe LX and I was wondering how easy it would be to change a radiator or would it just be easier to bring it to a mechanic to have it done? I don't have any type of lift so I would basically just be replacing it on ground level. Would that be possible? Thanks.

Re: Changing the radiator???
I did it at ground level it actaully alot easier than everyone thinks. AND a hell of alot cheaper than a mechanic.
Just: Drain your fluid, remove hoses, undo radiator clips, and fan, take it out put a new 1 in and hook it all back up. It took me about an hour and a half by myself and on ground level, and it was my first time 2. |

Re: Changing the radiator???
If you change the radiator, do yourself a favor and get new hoses while you are at it. I didn't and had one bust on me while driving......not fun!

Re: Changing the radiator???
your old hoses should be ok, but he's right it might be good to upgrade just incase, but if your tight on cash you'll be fine.
