transmission

does anyone know what a good price is to replace a transmission the lowest ive gotten is 375 its a 5-speed manual and if anyone has had problems with there second gear in the past could someone give me a ballpark of what they paid
so far im payin 550 for a transimission

I paid 400 for my 5 speed 2.4 transmission with 60 k on it. Thats with me just going to pick it up and me putting it in myself, which was kinda fun. ya know a good two day adventure... Local junkyards are the way to go if you know the mileage and such...

$375 for labor to install? That really doesn't sound all that bad.
