weird idle

The last I'd say 6 days my idle has been acting wierd.. when I first start driving my car the idle will be around 750 to 800 rpm, but then jumps up to 900 and 1000 and stays there, and will not come back down till I let my car sit with the engine off for a while. Any idea what this could be?

Re: weird idle

it might have a slight misfire, but i would say that you probably have a vaccuum leak. Check the PCV valve and all the vaccuum connections that you can find, otherwise bring it into a shop and have them run a vaccuum test or a diagnostics test.

Re: weird idle
