What are the names of the dye used to paint vinyl interior. And where can I find them? Also what is used to clean the parts before painting

most people either paint the vinyl with vinyl paint in a spray can and other people get all new vinyl in the color they want.

i've seen one guy use exterior household latex paint cuz its durable (resists weather and UV rays) and its flexible for the vinyl. the better way is to get it professionally dyed like silverbolt did for that bling bling feeling.

And just how much does that cost? Most likely way too much for me. That, and there aren't any places within 100 miles of here that do that kind of work.

I would grab some parts from a junk and test different types of sprays on the parts.

what about carpet? I have brand new carpet I bought for my car a year and a half ago from the dealer. I just checked it the other day and realized its the wrong color (grey instead of black), but I lost my invoice so I'm stuck with it. Is it costly to have it dyed, and how does the color hold up?

I've tried carpet dye ... it works pretty good except it doesn't have that soft carpet feel to it anymore after ... it's a little more rough if you know what I mean ...

I've used exterior latex paint on my door panels and that stuff works excellent and looks excellent if you do it properly ... that stuff WON'T come off on vinyl!!!

I also used the vinyl color by plasti-kote and it worked very well. When you let it dry properly before handling it, it stays on very well. It wont' flake off like other paint but it is like 7$ a can. also, does anyone know if clearcoating it looks better than leaving it just painted? and how does that work? How do you clean it to keep it from spotting, where there are spots that just don't seem to want to be painted?
