installing coilovers
how hard is it to install coilovers? any one know, b/c i took it some where today to get an estimate on how much it would be to get them installed, and they said 250! i was like ok fuck that, my friend can help me install them lol. anyone know of a site that shows you how? or could anyone tell me how to do it?

Are they just the springs? are the the spring/strut set? what kind of car do you have? year, make model? If you give that kind of info (and put your car in your sig) then someone will be able to help you a little more.

It matters what you're installing. Almost all of the systems come with instructions, and almost all coilovers could be installed with a chiltons/haynes manual. On vfaq there's a write-up for Koni's and Ground Control's (pretty nice set-up). Good for you for doing it yourself.

I'm interested to hear what you bought.

I get the impression then that what you bought were sleeve type coilovers. Just follow the instructions for the vfaq and you should be fine. I'm assuming the struts you already have installed aren't stock. That wouldn't be a good thing

Yes, I know what coilovers are. It depends who you talk to really. There are people that think coilovers are just the springs that are adjustable, and then there are others who think that they are the strut/spring combo. Seriously, there are a lot of people who think different things out there, you should realize that from being a member on this site.

Sorry for asking for a little more information, I know that being vauge is the really useful thing...
