Question Engine Rebuild!!!

How much does an engine rebuild cost on average?
I have a 96 Honda Civic DX HB.

parts + avg $70 an hour. a swap will be cheaper and quicker.

a Honda dealership will rebuild your motor for somewhere in the neighborhood of $3,000.00 ooorrrrr you could take that 3k and buy just about any honda motor from hmotorsonline and some beer for your buddies who are willing to help you put it in over a weekend

yeah, a swap is cheaper and easier, find a used motor on e-bay (a swap leftover) and pop it in. all those d16y7s being dropped for B16s and B18s have to go somewhere....
