Radiator

Who makes a radiator for the MR2 I looked for koyo, fludyne, and even spearco and i've had no luck. I will have to replace mine soon I need to know where I can find one. I was hoping for a aftermarket one possibly but it the stock is sufficent enough perhaps I will buy another toyota radiator.

Re: Radiator

Why do you need to replace yours?

The OEM radiator is perfect for your goals ~ no matter what they are.

Re: Radiator

because its pretty beat up, i just ment i would like to upgrade if possible. All the fins are bent and rocks are jammed in it . I want to change it before it springs a leak or drastically looses efficency

Re: Radiator

Has anyone ever heard of the border radiator relocation kit where it tilts the radiator foward and you remove the pannel under your hood between the headlights to let the air out. You need their hood cause it lines up with that spot?

Re: Radiator

The border kit leans the radiator backward, not forward. It may possibly somewhat who-really-knows help with downforce, but it can not help with cooling.

You will not ever need more cooling in an MR2 even if you are pushing over 700 rwhp ... our cars are way over engineering in the cooling department.

If an MR2 overheats, something is broken or the system is not set up properly.

I would call Conicelli Toyota for a price quote: www.partznet.com They give really good prices.

Re: Radiator

Denso for OEM
ARC make an aftermarket one or a radiator shop might be able to custom fab one for you.

Re: Radiator

Really I'm suprised! Do you know of anything that can help aid in keeping the front end down?

Re: Radiator

I have no problem keeping my front end down ... I am hoping to pull the front up this year on drag launches

... seriously, during normal driving (even at high speeds) my front end does not get light on either MKIIs.
